Mission Statement

Our Mission

To create entertaining, enlightening stage productions that reawaken audiences to the thrill of theater. Our shows will be intellectually challenging and imaginatively rendered, focusing on inventive original works, rarely produced plays by renowned playwrights, and one-of-a-kind special events—all of which celebrate the vitality and immediacy of the live theater experience.

Our Season

We do two shows a year: typically, one that we’ve written and one that we like. Something smart and compelling. Often sharp, satirical comedy. Sometimes thrilling, thought-provoking drama. Strong stories and big ideas.
And if we’re feeling really adventurous, we might add a special event: a 24-Hour Play (a play written, staged, and performed within 24 hours), a multimedia Halloween Party, another reading or workshop. Who knows? Check in on us and see what’s rattling around in our hyperactive heads.

Our Vision

We want to do the kind of the shows we ourselves most want to see—imaginative, intellectually stimulating, and uniquely theatrical. Not self-indulgent experimental stuff. Not kitschy homespun comedies either. Theater with intellectual heft and humor. Fiercely entertaining . . . with maybe a little to discuss at dinner.

So let us know if it’s too boring, too bland, too typical. We may disagree, of course. But as dramatists, we love the debate.
